You can do some� good shopping in the nearby towns of Emmen, Coevorden or Hoogeveen. This is all a short distance from our apartments, with lot�s of summer markets in summer.
Country side
Take a look inside the local windmill, go on a walk with the forester, buy a regional speciality and look for the stars on a clear night.
Meppen
With beautiful old saxon farms en tall oak trees it seems as if time has stood still here.
Accomodation
Come and stay in a apartment or holiday cottage with a cozy atmosphere for 2, 3 or 4 persons.
Ask for availability if you have a party of 5 or 6 persons.
Courtyard
The garden is spacious with flowerbeds, fruit trees and a rose arbor. Of course there are opportunities to sit down for a moment of relaxation and tranquillity. There is parking available and storage for bicycles.

Local area

Meppen is located near the Mepperdennen which is a forest with section of Juniper and heaths. The hay lands lie on the other side of the village with hedgerows, meadows and forests away from Gees.

Signposted cycling routes on the many paved trails lead along the most attractive spots.

Nature organisations have set out dozens of hiking trails.

Between the old characteristic villages of Gees and Oud-Aalden the immediate area is richly endowed with natural beauty.
